Opened in 2020, The Educated Roast is Orange High School’s unique drive-through café, created and operated by the Orange High School Parents & Citizens (P&C) Association. Serving the Orange Central Business District and welcoming the public, The Educated Roast is a collaborative initiative with Orange Roasting Co. and the Regional Industry Education Partnership (a NSW Government program). The café was established to provide valuable workplace experience, paid School Based Traineeships, and professional barista training for Orange High School students.
Since its founding, The Educated Roast has continued to grow, developing a reputation for quality coffee, outstanding customer service, and active community involvement. The café remains open, offering opportunities for Orange High School students to learn real-world business skills while delivering delicious coffee to local customers.
